Special Edition 25th anniversary logo and event invitations

Objectives:
  • Design a logo, develop a tagline and an invitation to raise awareness of the momentous 25th anniversary of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre to key audiences: clients, suppliers, the industry, media and competitors
  • The anniversary also marked the closure of the SCEC, therefore the occasion was also to celebrate the end of an era and acknowledge the centre’s reputation for running successful events and making a significant contribution to the events industry
  • Design an electronic and printer invitation for the event with a unique opening experience
Strategy:
  • Design a logo to commemorate this important occasion that complements the SCEC logo and branding; a professional organisation with warmth and vitality
  • Create a visual identity that can be executed across all marketing communications channels – online and print – including website, email, press releases, social media channels, digital signage and within the event theming
  • The design should have a timeless quality, given the event marked the end of an era and would be delivered well in advance of the event and continue to be used after the date
Results:
  • The electronic invitation was chosen to feature in the Campaign Monitor Design Gallery
  • Designed an eye-catching, vibrant logo that complemented the SCEC branding and raised awareness of the event that was a standout success
